PURE I.M.A.G.E.S. Inc. offers young girls that have already been identified as at-risk, or in need of an opportunity to work with a caring mentor to improve their ability to develop a positive attitude towards their future.
The long-term goal of PURE I.M.A.G.E.S. Inc. is to empower young girls with help from their families and community to succeed in a loving and stable environment. We strive to break the habits that are leading to trouble in school, at home and in the streets.

Programs
"Good for the Soul” is the central program of PURE I.M.A.G.E.S. Inc. At risk girls and facilitators will participate in a structured 8 month workshop program. Workshops will focus on such topics as: education, personal appearance, acts of faith, decision making, social skills, enhancing self esteem, and a host of other topics. The workshops will be age appropriate and girls will be divided into groups. Caterpillars for girls ages 9-12 and the Cocoons for young ladies ages 13 – 18. Workshops have been modified to allow age-appropriate dialogue and presentation.
H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Excel) is the community service program that works in collaboration with the “Good for the Soul” curriculum, exposing young girls to the obligation and fulfillment of giving back through community service. We will partner with local community service organization and/or groups to facilitate this program.
M.A.D. (Mothers And Daughters): Improving the Communication & the Relationship
This will be a bi-monthly workshop for 12 months to help teach mothers and daughters the skills they need to create and strengthen their bonds with one another. This program aids to develop and enhance the mother & daughter relationship which is based on love, trust and mutual respect.
The workshops will combine strategies for dealing with conflict and challenging behaviors. Mothers and daughters will leave the workshops with techniques for developing healthier mental attitudes towards their relationships. Activities will be implemented to foster and reinforce the workshop objectives.
“D.A.D.S.” (Dads and Daughter’s Speaking) is a curriculum designed for single fathers raising their daughters and/or fathers who may be co-parenting their daughters. This program will help fathers understand the different stages of development and where girls are physically, socially and psychologically at each stage. This program will serve as a sense of support and guidance for fathers but also provide fathers with opportunities to allow the father/daughter relationship to flourish.
“In Her Shoes” focuses on instilling confidence in adolescent girls in order to improve their academic performance and equip them with the tools needed to succeed in various educational and employment endeavors.
Using mentors, the program will expose, explore and prepare the adolescents girls to work in a variety of career opportunities. Mentors will serve as leaders in their communities /professional/personal accomplishments. Mentors will be asked to make a one-year commitment and to maintain weekly telephone contact with their mentee. Mentees will embark on a path of leadership, creativity, and endless opportunities.
Good for the Soul; Excellent for the Mature: Workshops designed to increase parental involvement in their daughter’s life and serve as source of networking and support for parents.
“Lessons Learned” is a series of workshops intended for administrators, teachers, social workers, childcare staff, parents and others working with children and families. The workshops have been designed to make the content of education and social work related issues relevant to the realities of the young girl’s lives and those responsible for the implementation of quality education and service.
